Noctuam operate counter poaching operations throughout South Africa.
Anti-poaching is the organised act to counter the poaching of wildlife, and generally used to describe an overall effort against the illegal wildlife trade.
The Anti-Poaching Units (APU) are the very front-line in this ongoing battle to especially protect our endangered species.
In this project we are looking to raise £500 for the training of much needed tracking dogs, in the fight against poaching throughout The Greater Kruger Park Regions. Dogs are, by their very nature, highly effective hunters, with great speed and exceptional smell. In favourable conditions the dogs can alert rangers to the presence of a poacher up to one kilometre away, meaning that the anti-poaching teams are now much better equipped to track at night, and cover greater ground too.
