New Events for 2021

Since the birth of Ubuntu Wildlife Trust, our team has been extremely busy with our current projects, also identifying areas where our support is needed and putting together new (and very exciting) projects. Behind closed doors our team is working hard both in the UK and our guys on the ground in South Africa. We cannot wait to share our new projects with you all …

In the mean-time, we have faced some bumps in the road with regards to fundraising events for our charity. As you are all to aware, COVID-19 has caused many of us to press the ‘pause’ button in our life plans. However, that does not stop us from coming together as a team to plan new fundraising events for 2021.

Currently we have lined up for 2021…

We have our T20 Charity Cricket match. After the huge success of our Charity T20 cricket match this year on Friday 14th August, we are pleased to announce that with the support of Whimple CC we will be making this an annual event. We are also pleased to confirm that The Thirsty Farmer will also continue to support the event as the match sponsor.

Next, we have our Charity Bike Ride. Our trustees are embarking on an adventurous 265 miles bike ride from Salisbury Cathedral to Lands End, Cornwall, all in aid of raising money for our charity. This is going to be a big challenge for the team but their dedication to the charity overrides the blood, sweat and tears that they will no doubtfully face along the way.

Other events include our Charity Golf Day (details to follow), our annual Gala for the charities first anniversary (details to follow) and plans for the launch of our summer wildlife conservation club for children, ‘Ubuntu’s Wildlife Warriors’. We will be bringing Africa to the UK, allowing children to experience the African bush, teaching them about wildlife conservation and inspiring the next generation of eco wildlife warriors. The club will get involved with fundraising events and will be great for building self-confidence and a way to make new friends!

Our ‘Quiz and Chilli’ night has been postponed until April 16th 2021 due to following current government guidelines, therefore, we have no more events for this year.

You can always help support our charity by organising your own fundraisers! We would love to see how creative you can be with your own fundraisers.

If you have any exciting ideas and would like to host a fundraising event, please do not hesitate contact us on: info@ubuntuwildlifetrust.com.
