Biography

Dumisani “Dumi” Zwane is Head of Game Capture for Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife and has dedicated his career to the conservation and management of South Africa’s wildlife.

Dumi is also part of the Black Rhino Range Expansion Project, playing a hands-on role in the capture and relocation of black rhino to establish and strengthen populations across protected areas.

His remarkable work, alongside that of his fellow conservation heroes, was featured in BBC’s Planet Earth III, Episode 8: “Heroes”, showcasing the skill, experience and dedication required to protect some of Africa’s most threatened wildlife.

Dumi is a valued member of the Ubuntu Wildlife Trust team and someone whose work perfectly represents our belief that conservation is ultimately about people working together for wildlife.
