Kheta Amos Tembe is the Parks Manager of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife’s Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park (HiP) region, the home of the white rhino and one of South Africa’s most important Big 5 Reserves. He was formerly Law Enforcement Manager and Conservation Manager at HiP, and previous to that, reserve manager at Ndumo Game Reserve, a reserve of international wetland importance (RAMSAAR).
Kheta holds a BTech. Nature Conservation degree, a Diploma in Natural Resource Management, and an Advanced Certificate in Transfrontier Conservation Management. He is currently completing his BTech. (Honours) Nature Conservation degree. Kheta further has multiple qualifications in African Leadership, Crime Scene Procedures, and Firearm Proficiency, Tourism and Guiding.
He is a proud member of the Tembe royal family that extends into South Africa and Mozambique. Kheta has extensive knowledge and experience in conservation, community projects, and law enforcement and is one of the most respected conservationists in the field. He uses these unique skills to help further the work of Ubuntu Wildlife Trust.
