Ubuntu is very proud to be a founding sponsor of the first conference of the South African Crocodile Monitoring Network. It was attended by the leading global crocodilian specialists, veterinarians, and government conservation organisations with many attending virtually. Presentations and practical sessions covering all things crocodile were held over the three days. The final day was a workshop to initiate the drafting of a National Biodiversity Management Plan for wild Nile crocodile populations in South Africa. Congratulations to all involved and a special acknowledgement to Philip R. Jordaan from African Ecological Conservation Projects for putting this all together and getting these great minds in the same room. A huge step forward for crocodile conservation. A big thank you to our ambassador Paige Scholfield in helping raise the funds for this important project.
